be tested for pH as it leaves the dewatering screen. Water with pH lower than 6 and
higher than 8.5 will be diverted to a holding tank where it will be neutralized prior to
returning to the water circuit.
The applicant will rely on a municipal water source, specifically the City of
Idaho Springs, CO. Ms. Wonder Martell of the City of Idaho Springs executed the
account documents on January 26, 2021 and are provided herein.
The GTM is not a mining operation. Groundwater will not be encountered,
intercepted or impacted. The mill will not discharge process water, thus not
impacting the nearby surface water Clear Creek. Storm water will be managed with
road side ditches or collection sumps from mill structures. Stormwater run-off from
the interior road will be conveyed off-site via roadside ditches. Stormwater run-off
from structures will be directed to the sumps and pumped into the process water
system.
The mill's objective is zero waste. GTM's products will be appropriate for
beneficial end uses. Feedstock and byproducts will be characterized by TCLP for
hazardous waste determination and then tested against construction material
standards for suitability for use in the construction industry. Included as Appendix A
is a Letter of Intent from Mountain Property Builders to accept the mill fines. Only
feedstock that passes TCLP test will be accepted for processing. No process water
impoundments, stockpiles or tailings impoundments are planned for on-site waste
storage.
GTM will impact the hydrologic balance as historic precipitation that is
managed through engineered drainage structures, roadside ditches, and sumps.
Storm water will discharge at historic rates, preventing off-site damage. The future
land use is industrial/commercial that will manifest as a building and two loading
areas with appropriately engineered drainage system.
Explosives will not be used during milling or reclamation.
