W <br />4.8.2.2c. OPERATIONAL GROUND -WATER FLOWS, 1981-1986 <br />Four piezometric maps of the Trapper Mine were developed to show the water <br />level flow patterns for the QR(M54), KLM(M54A), HI(M54B), and Third White Sandstone, <br />Second White Sandstone and alluvial(M54C) aquifers. Water levels from the Fall of <br />1986 were used in the development of these maps. <br />Map M54 presents the water -level elevations for the QR aquifer. Water -level <br />elevations for the east panel are discussed in section 2-7, while this section <br />discusses operational ground water flow. The water -level elevation in the west <br />panel is shown by the QR wells, GA1, GD2, GE1, and GF6. The ground -water flow in <br />the QR aquifer aquifer is mainly to the north. Mining has affected the QR aquifer <br />only close to the Derringer and Enfield pits by causing drawdowns very near the pit <br />edges. Drawdowns in the QR aquifer in the far western portion of the Trapper permit <br />near well GE1 have extended much farther away from the edge of mining. These larger <br />drawdowns are not thought to be caused by the Trapper dewatering. Some rise of the <br />contour elevations north of these pits could have occurred by the movement of <br />additional water into the QR aquifer in these areas. Gradients and flow directions <br />in the QR aquifer for 1986 are similar to those observed in 1985. <br />Map M54B presents the water -level elevation contours for the HI aquifer for <br />the Fall of 1986. Wells GB5, GC1, GE2, and GF4 were used in the development of this <br />map. Flow in the HI aquifer has changed mainly at the Ashmore. Derringer, and <br />Enfield pits. The overall flow regime in this aquifer is close to that observed in <br />1985. The piezometric surface of the Second White Sandstone aquifer is shown in the <br />northern portion of the west panel. Water -level elevation for the Johnson Gulch are <br />4-226hh REVISED.- FFR 13'87 <br />
