RECLAMATION PLAN EXHIBIT E(CONT)
of the vegetation typically found on grassland areas covered by
the onsite soils is in EXHIBIT' S I and J.
As outlined in the MINING PLAN, up to 48 . 0 acres ± of the
permitted area will be disturbed as a result of mining. Since
there are no stages in the permit, reclamation will run
concurrent with mining. The plan calls for, having no more than
20 . 0 acres ± disturbed at any-one-time. As mining progresses
across the property some parts of the property will remain
undisturbed while other areas will be either stripped, mined,
partially reclaimed or totally reclaimed. The MINING PLAN MAP -
EXHIBIT C-1 shows how the pit will look when approximately 37% is
stripped, mined and partially reclaimed. The RECLAMATION PLAN
MAP - EXHIBIT F shows how the area will look when reclamation is
complete. The area will be returned to at least it ' s present
vegetative condition when reclamation is complete. It is
important to remember that the crop land areas may be in various
cycles of use during the year and as such may be fallow at
various time during the year. The areas along the entrance road
will remain undisturbed by mining, but if disturbed will be
seeded with a grassland seed mix used by the landowners on their
pasture areas
Under normal weather conditions, an adequate moisture
reserve will be present for establishment of the proposed crop.
No irrigation is planned for this site because it is a dryland
site. No revegetation will take place on the access roads .
REVEGETATION PROGRAM
The revegetation program to be implemented is a fairly
simple plan since the idea is to continue to use the property to
produce crops such as millet, wheat or other grain varieties .
The seed is drilled at the appropriate time of year for the
species being planted. The type of crop to be planted in any
given year is reserved by the farms manager. Since the intended
use of the reclaimed land is crop land, any slopes created will
be commensurate with this final land use. The use of soil
additives or fertilizers will also be determined by the
landowners and will be applied if they determine they are needed
for successful crop propagation.
The road will remain on the site to provide access for crop
harvesting and for the supervision and inspection of the
reclamation plan. The road will provide the owner' s with access
to the property when reclamation is complete.
Logan County - Barkley Pit January 11, 2021
E-2
