We assume this refers to the road from Highway 8 up to the
plant/quarry area. That road is on an easement granted to Aggregate Industries for
the access road and scale house. What affect will this action have on us as the actual
property owners? Will we be held liable/responsible for actions and or inactions by
Aggregate Industries?
Some of the issues that we have with water drainage from the quarry come off of the
access road. We believe you have/would have jurisdiction over that. Drainage water
leaving the catch basin adjacent to the scale house has not had enough time or area to
properly settle fine particles. After the water leaves the catch basin onto our property
to the south, it settles out, leaving sediment along that drainage.
