The Colowyo Coal Mine is alan surface coal mine located in Moffat,Rio Blanco County,approximate- ly 28 miles S of Craig,Colorado. Coal interest is lederal,state and private,and the surace affected is federal,state and private land. The permit area encompasses approximately 26,133.34 acres. This proposed decision is based on a finding that the proposed operation will comply with all require- ments of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Recla- mation Act,Section 34 33 101,at seq.,C.R.S.,and the regulations promulgated thereunder.
