Colorado Legacy Land Former Schwartzwalder Mine <br /> North Waste Rock Pile Diversion Channel <br /> 3.02 Performance <br /> A. Contractor shall establish minimum three permanent benchmarks outside the limits of <br /> construction for survey control. <br /> 1. Benchmark monuments shall be iron pin, 5/8 inch diameter,minimum 24 inches <br /> long to prevent displacement. <br /> B. Contractor shall complete the layout of the Work from the control points and shall be <br /> responsible for all measurements that may be required for execution of the Work to the <br /> location and limits prescribed in the Contract Documents, subject to such modification as <br /> may be required to meet changed conditions in the Work. <br /> C. The existence and location of underground facilities,utilities, and other construction <br /> indicated as existing are not guaranteed by Engineer. Before beginning Site work, <br /> investigate and verify the existence and location of underground facilities and other <br /> construction. <br /> D. Contractor shall be aware of all specified surveys and coordinate work with Owner to <br /> allow for surveying activities. <br /> E. As-Built Surveys: <br /> 1. Contractor shall perform as-built surveys of all drainage channels and structures <br /> indicating vertical elevations and horizontal location to verify conformance with <br /> the Drawings. <br /> a. Drainage Channels shall be surveyed at 50-foot intervals(maximum)to <br /> verify the appropriate geometry and slopes(shown on the Drawings) <br /> along the flow line. The results of the survey shall be reported to the <br /> Engineer. <br /> b. Access Roadway shall be surveyed at 50-foot intervals(maximum). The <br /> results of the survey shall be reported to the Engineer. <br /> C. Dissipater basin shall be surveyed at all grade breaks to verify the <br /> approximate geometry and slopes(shown on the Drawings). The results <br /> of the sruvey shall be reported to the Engineer. <br /> d. Pipes invert elevations shall be surveyed at inlet and outlet locations. Top <br /> of pipes shall be surveyed at 50-foot spacings along the pipe length. <br /> e. Vertical elevations shall be provided to the nearest 0.01 foot. <br /> f. Contractor shall submit plan drawings, electronic files and other <br /> necessary documentation to Engineer indicating each grid point and the <br /> vertical elevations. <br /> g. The as-built drawings shall be sealed by a Professional Land Surveyor <br /> registered in Colorado. <br /> F.
