We have conducted on off-site inspection of the lighting <br /> as visible from the public right of way. Regarding lighting, the current approved <br /> PUD for this site requires: <br /> a) CDOT permitted lights at the access road and Hwy 8, which shall be <br /> photovoltaically controlled to turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn, <br /> b) All new lighting shall be shielded and downcast so as to not cast <br /> direct light or glare outside the mining and processing areas; <br /> lighting shall not exceed 70' from the bottom of the quarry floor for <br /> either the concrete or asphalt plants, <br /> c) Lighting of structures shall be allowed in accordance with industry <br /> standards and requirements, and <br /> d) Freestanding pole lights shall not exceed 20' and shall be <br /> downcast halogen lights. <br /> The results of our inspection, photos from which are attached for reference, <br /> indicate that lighting may have been adjusted or moved since the original PUD <br />
