<br /> <br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br /> <br /> <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety proposes to approve Technical Revision <br />Application No. 38 (TR-38) for the Williams Fork Mines (Permit No. C-1981-044), submitted by <br />Moffat County Mining, LLC. This permitting action constitutes a correction to the disturbance area <br />delineation and an update of the Reclamation Plan. Also requested were permanent pond designations <br />for three ponds. Only two ponds received permanent designation. <br /> <br />The Williams Fork Mines is a/an underground coal mine located in Moffat County, approximately 7 <br />miles SW of Craig, Colorado. Coal interest is federal, state and private, and the surface affected is <br />federal, state and private land. The permit area encompasses approximately 6,363.00 acres. <br /> <br />This proposed decision is based on a finding that the proposed operation will comply with all <br />requirements of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 34-33-101, et seq., <br />C.R.S., and the regulations promulgated thereunder. <br /> <br />The revision application, as well as all other permit documents, can be viewed at <br />https://dnrweblink.state.co.us/drms/search.aspx by searching C1981044 in the “Permit No” field. <br />A user guide is available to help first time users of the imaged document system and can be viewed <br />at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l8OUdf_Mpjo3kxIHkP5hMH-w7MeBtxX7/view. <br /> <br />Persons with an interest that may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board on the proposed decision. Such request must be <br />made within ten (10) days of the initial publication of this notice, must be in writing, and must state <br />with reasonable specificity the reasons for the request and the objections to the proposed decision. <br /> <br /> <br />
