Bob Munz of Mountain Coal Company (MCC) accompanied the inspection. The weather was clear and <br />dry, with snow on the ground. The mine was active. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS — Rule 5.02.4(1): <br />Records were available in the mine office, details are given at the end of this report. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The SG -I, RPE, and MB-3 ponds were inspected. The water level in each was low. No problems were <br />noted with liners, embankments or spillways. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />The longwall was in the SS panel, between cross -cuts 17 and 16 on the SS head gate. <br />Development of the SS2 head gate was complete, and development of the SS2 start line was <br />approximately half complete. <br />Development of the E14 panel was in progress. <br />PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES — Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br />Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br />No processing waste was being generated at the time of the inspection, and none was expected to be <br />produced until mid-2021 (following the longwall move to the SS2 panel). The haul road to the RPEE had not been <br />plowed and was not accessible. The snow showed that no recent activity had occurred on the RPE either.
