On active mine
areas,backrilling and grading,topsoil redistribution,and seeding occurs contemporaneously.
L SUMMARY OF THE BOND RELEASE PROCESS
History of Previous Bond Release Submittals
The Division approved a full release of reclamation liability for the Craig Generation Plant Loadout in
December 1985. That approval was for release of reclamation liability only. No money was returned to
TMI;that is,there was no reduction in the amount of actual bond monies held by the Division.
Other bond release submittals (SL-01 through SL-22) are summarized in Table II below, including a
history of liability reductions requested by TMI. None of the prior bond releases resulted in an immediate
change in the amount of actual bond monies held by the Division, but did lead to changes in monies held
during subsequent actions such as permit renewals.
(photo)
Permit Number
C1981010
Prepared by: R.Reilley,MS,GISP
SL21
