Introduction
The proposed Mystic Soil project is located approximately 1 to 2 miles north of Hooper, a
statutory town located in the San Luis Valley. Mystic Soil is located in Saguache County,
Colorado,United States. The operation will excavate, stockpile on-site and send offsite
construction materials from a 319.8 acre permit. Access will be from the southeast corner of the
property on to County Road B near the intersection of County Road B and County Road 62.
The owner of the land is Erwin and Lynne Young. The operator and permittee are Colorado
Gators Inc.
The current site condition is predominantly rangeland. The ultimate goal of Mystic Soil is the
construction of an athletic complex consisting of four playing fields and associated support
structures. The desire of the permittee to sell the material generated from the excavation of the
four recreational fields is what is necessitating this 112 reclamation permit. The site will be
reclaimed to rangeland, a recreational facility, and an industrial/commercial area. Details of
mining and reclamation plans can be seen on the maps in Appendix 1.
Mystic Soil
?doveniber 2020 1-1 (:.a `»++u Am«n«, r.►s
