Skies appeared clear, and there was scant snow <br />accumulation across the sight. Active mining was taking place in the L Pit at the time of inspection. <br />PERMITTING ACTIONS: <br />o SL21 and 22 Phase I and Phase II decisions proposed <br />o TR 126 Mid Term under review <br />INSPECTION: <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />Main haul roads and access roads appeared dry and stable. Two draglines were stationed in the L Pit. <br />One dragline was operating casting spoil, one dragline appeared idle. Haul trucks being loaded and <br />transporting coal were noted in the imagery. The inspection focused on activities occurring in the pit. <br />Contemporaneous reclamation, grading, overburden and topsoil placement have been completed for the <br />2020 season, and appear to have progressed adequately and as permitted. No offsite air quality or <br />hydrologic issues were observed at the time of inspection. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3) 14.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4) 14.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance 4.03.1(5) <br />and (6) 14.03.2(5) and (6); Reclamation 4.03.1(7) 14.03.2(7) <br />o Haul roads and access roads appeared in good repair, well maintained and free of ruts, standing <br />water or ice. <br />o Haul roads appeared to have been recently watered. <br />o Ditches appeared to be functioning adequately.
