Before reclamation activities commenced, a new quarry permit with a different operator(Table Mountain Quarry,
Tezak Heavy Equipment Co. Inc, M-1999-004) was permitted in the same permit area. Reclamation was delayed for a
number of years because of the overlapping permits. In 2017, DRMS met with the current operator and developed a plan to
reclaim portions of the permit area in areas disturbed by the old permit that were not being disturbed by the new
operations, totaling approximately 9 acres.
In 2018-2020 reclamation was performed on site consisting of regrading old stockpiles to a 3H:1V slope, controlling noxious
weeds, and re-seeding. The cost for the project was $50,278.56.
The site was inspected in 2020 and no further reclamation work is required for the areas reclaimed. Areas that were graded
do not show signs of erosion and the seed mix that was used is established with low weed content. The remaining
reclamation activities relating to the old quarry permit, including highwalls, overburden and stockpiles, off-site drainage,
weed control, and revegetation should be addressed by reclamation activities with the current operator. The remaining
bond in the amount of$18,311.44 should be returned back to the Financial Warrantor or Unclaimed Property.
Digitally signed by Russ Means
DN:cn=Russ Means,=DIMS,
Russ Means ou=Minerals,
email=russ.means@state.co.us,c=US
Date:2020.12.11 11:53:14-07'00'
IMRP Project Manager Approved by: Program Director
12/10/2020
Date Date
REV 5/5/17
