EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN AND TIMETABLE
RECLAMATION PLAN
The proposed future use of this site is to return it to it' s
existing use of rangeland. Mining will create a depression in
the terrace deposit that depending on what Option is used will
create an amphitheater in the Terrace deposit or daylight out the
east side creating a continuous bench running east-west parallel
to County Road 613 . The possibility of removing the side slopes
between the adjoining mine on the east is very probable. This
makes the reclamation plan very simple in that the mined area
will have to be shaped, resoiled and revegetated with grass seed
once mining is complete. Review of the two options shown on the
RECLAMATION PLAN MAPS in this application depict how we believe the
site will look once mining is complete.
As noted in the MINING PLAN we are proposing two options for
reclaiming the site in this amendment . The third option has been
removed as it is not practical to mine through the western permit
boundary. The method used to reclaim each option are the same,
the difference in being the amount of sloping needed. In Option
1, the east and west sides will be developed leaving 3 : 1 slopes
around the mined area as shown on the maps .
In Option 2, the eastern slope will be removed so the floor
of the adjoining mine will match the floor of this mine. The
amount of resoiling and revegetation will remain the same as in
Option 1 but the floor area will increase by approximately 0 . 41
acres ± if Option 2 is used.
As mining progresses the slopes along the outside perimeter
of the mining area will be graded 3 : 1 to stabilize them until it
is time for resoiling and seeding by backfilling with reject
materials or overburden. By creating the temporary slopes as
mining progresses, we are reducing the amount of work necessary
to reclaim the site as mining progresses . Depending on the
timing as mining progresses to the eastern permit line that slope
may be graded 2h to lv and seeded until it is mine out to blend
the mine floors . A deal may also be consummated that allows the
operator that reaches this line first to mine out both sides of
the line and leave a 2h to lv slope on the other mine that would
be removed when the later mining operation reaches the boundary.
Since the temporary slopes along the working face will be
steeper then their final grade, as mining progresses, only minor
amounts of backfill or cut/fill sloping work will be necessary as
mining ends .
W5G- Hribar Pit Amendment December 2020
13
