Denver Field Branch <br />Inspection Narrative <br />Permittee: <br />Trapper Mining Inc. <br />Mine: <br />Trapper Mine <br />Permit No: <br />C-1981-010 <br />Date of Inspection: <br />October 13, 2020 <br />Inspection Type: <br />Partial Phase I and Phase II bond release <br />Weather: <br />Warm and sunny, dry ground conditions <br />Representative: <br />Graham Roberts <br />DRMS: <br />Robin Reilley and DJ Cunningham <br />OSMRE: <br />Tom Medlin (#562) <br />Background <br />This was a partial bond release inspection at the Trapper Mine located in Moffat County, <br />Colorado. Under SL-21 Trapper Mining, Inc. (TMI) proposes Phase I bond release on <br />approximately 298.3 acres in the reclaimed F, L, and Z pits. Under SL-22 TMI proposes Phase 11 <br />bond release on approximately 175.0 acres in the reclaimed Ashmore, East Flintlock, Flintlock, <br />and Kimber pits. According to the SL-21 application backfilling and grading to approximate <br />original contour and drainage reestablishment / control have been accomplished in accordance <br />with the approved Trapper Mine permit. The SL-22 application indicates acceptable <br />sedimentology demonstrations have been made and vegetative establishment in support of the <br />rangeland postmining land use meets the requirements for herbaceous cover in accordance with <br />the approved permit. The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) found <br />the SL-21 application administratively complete on August 13, 2020. The SL-22 application was <br />found administratively complete on September 11, 2020. <br />The lands proposed for Phase I bond release lie within the County of Moffat, State of Colorado, <br />Township 5 North, Range 90 West of the 6' PM: <br />• Portions of Sections 5 and 6 <br />Township 6 North, Range 90 West of the 6th PM: <br />• Portions of Sections 31 and 32 <br />Township 6 North, Range 91 West of the 6th PM: <br />• Portions of Section 36. <br />The lands proposed for Phase 11 bond release lie within the County of Moffat, State of Colorado, <br />Township 5 North, Range 90 West of the 6th PM: <br />• Portions of Sections 5 and 6 <br />Township 5 North, Range 91 West of the 6th PM: <br />• Portions of Section 2 <br />Township 6 North, Range 90 West of the 6th PM: <br />0 Portions of Section 31 <br />
