Repair work to the slurry watt liner after the
flooding in 2013 was performed during 2015.The repairs in both locations ties into adjacent undisturbed slurry
wall both laterally and vertically. The purpose of this test was to analyze the liner repair and re-verify the
previously approved liner once again met the design or performance standard. The test duration was modified to
45-days.The liner test commenced on September 22, 2015 and concluded on November 5, Z015.A site inspection
was performed by our office on October 29, 2015 to review site conditions and preliminary teak test data.
Your report dated November 18, 2015 provides the liner summary and the 45-day leak test results. The test data
provided indicates that after the repair the reservoir has been pried to the design stan referenced in the
August 1999 State Engineer Guidelines for Lining Criteria for Gravel Pits(19"SEO Guidelines). Meeting the
design standard requires that during reservoir operations all water inflows and outflows for the liner
perimeter enclosed area be accounted for on a llonth!C basis.
With this liner approval, the Saint Wain Reservoir(aka Bayshore Lakes or Barefoot Lakes)is once again classified as
a lined reservoir in accordance with the 1999 SE0 Guidelines. Water shall not be impounded in the reservoir
except pursuant to lawful diversions allowed by statute or decree. At all other times, all inflow of water into the
reservoir from any source, including precipitation and ground water inflows shalt be removed to prevent illegal
storage of water. Prior to ANY use of this site, the owner or operator will need to coordinate with Shera
Sumerford, District 5 Water Commissioner,to review operations, measurement strictures, and accounting.
Please contact me at 303-866.3581 if you have any questions.
S7&
aw 41
loana Comaniciu, P.E.
Water Resource Engineer
ec: Shera Sumerford, District 5 Water Commissioner(Shera.Sumerfordestate.co.us)
Louis Flink, Diversion Records Coordinator((Mis.Flink4Mate.co.us)
Andy Laycock, Hatt-Irwin Corporation (Alaycockehalt-irwin.com)
WDID File (0503307)
1313 Sherman Street,Roan 821,Denver,Co 80203 P 303.866.3581 F 303.866.3585 WWW.vrater.state.Co.us
