6.2.1 South Quarry
For the South Quarry kinematic analyses, three primary highwall orientations were
evaluated, as shown in Figure 6-2:
1) West highwall (trending north/south)—overall mining face angle of 67°, bench face
angle of 85°. Highwall dips east.
2) East highwall (trending north/south)—overall mining face angle of 45°, bench face
angle of 85°. Highwall dips west.
3) South highwall (trending east/west)—overall mining face angle of 67°, bench face
angle of 85°. Highwall dips north.
Per discussions with Al a North highwall was not modeled, as the north highwall will be
completely mined out and the South Quarry will merge with the Central Quarry, with no
remaining highwall separating the two cells (or quarries).
6.2.2 West Quarry
For the West Quarry kinematic analyses, three (3)primary highwall orientations were
evaluated within the West Quarry as shown in Figure 6-2:
1) North Highwall (trending 265°) - overall mining face angle of 67°, bench face angle
of 85°. Highwall dips south (175' dip direction).
2) North West Highwall (trending 50°) —overall mining face angle of 67°, bench face
angle of 85°. Highwall dips southeast(140' dip direction).
3) South West Highwall (trending 300°)—overall mining face angle of 67°, bench face
angle of 85°. Highwall dips northeast(35' dip direction).
27
Aggregate Industries—Morrison Quarry GEI Consultants,Inc.
AM-07 Geotechnical Stability Exhibit November 2020
