RECEIVED
NOV 06 2J
CRG Mining LLC
510 S.Wisconsin St. DIVISION OF RECLAMATION
G u n n ison,CO 81230 MINING AND SAFETY
October29, 2020
Dustin Czapla
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman St.,Room 215
Denver,CO 80203
Re: Gold Links Mine,Permit M-1987-143, Request forTechnical Revision
Dear Mr.Czapla,
We are requestinga Technical Revision(TR)forthe above-named site. ThisTR is verysimilar to TR-02
which was approved in 2015, with a few minor changes.
CRG needs a year-round,weatherproof location for the generator and minor storage at the site. We
wantto create anew portal and an underground room a short distance inby. The new portal will be 12
ft x 12 ft,with adit approximately 15 long,leading to a room measuring 30 ft x 40 ft,and 14 ft high. This
will allow sufficient room for our generatorand some otherequipment.
The portal will be located on an existing face cut of the bench where our primary haulage portal is. The
new portal will be approximately 160 ft south of the primary portal(see map and photo). Itwill require
a steel structure extending into competent material in the mountain;this structure Will include a steel
entry door that will be kept secured. Perthe landowner's wishes, this structure and lockable steel door
will remainas permanent features on the site.
The hill slope where the portal will be constructed will be stabilized to prevent sloughing, and material
will be backfilled around the exterior steel structure.
The material generated by creating this underground space will not intersect any vein or mineralization,
and should not exceed 1,000 cubic yards. We plan to place this rock on an adjacent part of the waste
rock dump;there is a slight swale which should easily accommodate this waste rock. The new material
will be angular, making it easily stabilized by shaping and compacting. The new waste rock will become
part of the permanent waste rock dump.
There should be no additional surface drainage concerns, since we already have an adequate
stormwater management plan, and the new dump configuration will blend well with existing contours.
Please see the enclosed permit area map and site photos showingthe proposed portal and shed
location, and waste rock disposal location.
We appreciate your review and look forward to addressing any questions orconcerns you may have.
