PUBLIC NOTICE <br /> Moffat County Mining,LLC,29515 Routt County Road 27, Oak Creek, Colorado 80467,has requested <br /> release of Partial Phase I Liability on 176.7 acres of its reclaimed lands at the Williams Fork Mine <br /> (CDRMS Permit No. C 1981-044, approved October 19, 1983). <br /> The Williams Fork Mine is located approximately 6.0 mile southwest of Craig, Colorado, off of <br /> Colorado State Highway 13. The specific area to which this bond release request applies within the <br /> Permit Area is located as follows: <br /> T6NR91 W: <br /> Section 31 —Portions of. NW'/4, NE 'A, SE '/4, SW'/4 <br /> Section 32—Portions of. NWNW, SWNW, NWSW, and SWSW <br /> T5NR91W: <br /> Section 6 —Portions of. NWNW, SWNW, and NENE <br /> The Williams Fork Mine mining permit area consist of 6,800 acres. The USGS 7.5 Minute Quadrangle <br /> Maps for Round Bottom and Castor Gulch contain the described affected area. Pursuant to Rule 3.03.1,a <br /> permittee may request Phase I Bond Release upon completion of all surface mining operations in <br /> accordance with the approved reclamation plan, and the final inspection and procedures of Rule 3.03.2 <br /> have been satisfied,Up to sixty percent of the applicable bond amount shall be released when the permittee <br /> successfully completes backfilling, regrading, and drainage control in accordance with the approved <br /> reclamation plan. The approved reclamation plan can be viewed in its entirety in the Williams Fork Mine <br /> Permit Application Package located at the Foidel Creek Mine Office,29515 RCR 27,Oak Creek,Colorado <br /> 80467. Reclamation of the disturbed mining areas and demolition of non-permanent structures occurred <br /> throughout the reclamation phases from 1998 through 2020. A Corporate Surety Bond in the amount of <br /> $4,691,000 is currently in place of which the bond amount to be released by this request will be determined <br /> by the Colorado Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety. <br /> A copy of the SL-5 bond release application is available for public inspection at the Foidel Creek Mine <br /> Office, 29515 Routt County Road 27, Oak Creek, Colorado 80467. Written comments or objections or <br /> requests for public hearing or informal conference concerning this application may be submitted to, and <br /> additional information obtained from, the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 <br /> Sherman Street,Room 215,Denver,Colorado 80203-2273,(303) 866-3567. Comments must be received <br /> within 30 days of the last publication of this notice or within 30 days of the onsite inspection,whichever <br /> is later. <br />
