I. INTRODUCTION <br /> This submittal represents a formal bond release request by Moffat County Mining,LLC for the <br /> Williams Fork Mine (Williams Fork) Permit No.C-1981-044. This request is for Phase I release <br /> of reclaimed areas that have been backfilled and graded with drainages reestablished. This <br /> application is submitted in accordance with the Colorado Dirision of Minerals and Geology (DMG) <br /> Guideline Regardzng Selected Coal Mine Bond Release Issues (April 18, 1995), Rule 3.03 Release of <br /> Performance Bonds, the approved permit, and consultations with CDRMS on vegetation sampling, <br /> analysis and success evaluations. <br /> II. Identification of Lands <br /> The Williams Fork site lies approximately seven miles south of Craig, Colorado on State <br /> Highway 13. The elevation of the permit area ranges from a low of approximately 6,130 feet <br /> to a high of approximately 7,400 feet. The entire operation is located in Moffat County, <br /> Colorado. Two major northwestern Colorado rivers intersect the permit area, these are the <br /> Yampa River and the Williams Fork River.
