ABSTRACT
Metcalf Archaeological Consultants, Inc. has completed an intensive cultural resource
inventory for Trapper Mining, Inc. in Moffat County, Colorado. Situated on state lands managed
by the Colorado State Land Board Surface and Coal Lands, the project encompasses three
parcels containing proposed Permit Revision #10 (PR 10) 2020-2021 disturbance areas within
the state coal lease boundary. Inventory covered 163 acres and resulted in the new recording of
one site (5MF9889) and three isolated finds. Site 5MF9889, consisting of historic inscriptions
on an isolated sandstone hoodoo, is recommended as not eligible for inclusion on the National
Register of Historic Places. The three isolated finds (5MF9867, 5MF9876, 5MF9877) are also
recommended as not eligible for inclusion on the NRHP. Metcalf recommends a finding of no
historic properties for this project. No further work is recommended.
For Official Use Only: Disclosure of site locations prohibited (43 CFR 7.18) Page I iii
Privileged Information —Do Not Release 190
