Exhibit B <br /> 4. Question 2, Describe the type of vegetation present in more detail. Include descriptions such as <br /> species, plant sizes, densities, etc. <br /> Vegetation is sparce in the area, consisting of the following species: <br /> Cactus: <br /> brittle prickly pear(Opuntia fragilis)—very prolific and established in area <br /> Fendler's hedgehog(Echinocereus fendleri)—sporadic-thriving well <br /> Colorado hookless cactus (Sclerocactus glaucus)—rarely found—not within any project areas <br /> but within the claim boundaries. <br /> Trees: <br /> Pinon Pine (Pinus edulis)—The pinon pine trees are not doing well. Drought and pine beetles <br /> have killed over 90%of the larger trees and 50%of the smaller trees. Even tree that are less <br /> than 5 years old are being affected. There are lots of seedlings within the claim boundaries. <br /> Utah Juniper(luniperus osteosperma)—It is obvious that this tree is flourishing with the lack of <br /> water and competition from the dying pinons. This tree is thriving well and in various stages of <br /> growth throughout the entire area. <br /> Plains Cottonwood (Populus deltoides)— Several of these trees are located outside of the claim <br /> boundaries and the parking area. <br /> Shrubs: <br /> Rubber Rabbitbrush (Ericameria nauseosa)—Well established in all areas. <br /> Mountain big sagebrush (Artemisia tridentata ssp. vaseyana)—Well established in all areas. <br /> Scarlett Globemallow(Sphaeralcea coccinea)—Well established in entire area. Seeds added to <br /> topsoil storage <br /> Green Mormon Tea (Ephedra viridis)—Well established and hearty!!! <br /> Grasses: <br /> Needle and thread (Hilaria jamesii)—Sparce-Seeds added to topsoil storage <br /> Indian Ricegrass (Acnatherum hymenoides)—Sparce -Seeds added to topsoil storage <br /> Western Wheatgrass(Pascopyrum smithii)—Sparce-Seeds added to topsoil storage <br /> Basin wild rye (Leymus cinereus)—Sparce—Seeds added to topsoil storage <br /> Galleta (Elymus elymoides)—Sparce-Seeds added to topsoil storage <br />
