Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> R -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> CONVOENTS <br /> This was a partial inspection by Leigh Simmons of the Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety <br /> (Division).The weather was clear and dry. The Bear mine permit is revoked and the site has been reclaimed. <br /> There was no sign of any recent disturbance and access to the site was restricted by a locked gate. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Although the site was generally very dry,following a dry summer,the seep at the base of the slide area <br /> was still flowing and the channel leading from it was conveying water. <br /> OTHER(SPECIFY): <br /> The site was secured by a locked gate,however the weld on one side of the metal loop through which the <br /> lock was secured had broken meaning the loop was only fixed on one side. <br /> REVEGETATION—Rule 4.15 <br /> Vegetative Cover;Timing: <br /> Vegetation at the site was generally very dry,particularly grasses.Much of the grass in the reclaimed area <br /> of the site appeared to be cheat grass. Rabbitbrush was in flower and widely spread over the northern portion of <br /> the pad area. The sedges in the channel leading from the seep were green and thriving.No thistles were noted.A <br /> small amount of Tamarisk appeared to have survived previous treatment attempts. <br /> SLIDES and DAMAGE -Rule 4.12: <br /> There was no evidence of recent movement around the slide area,or of increased activity from the <br /> underground coal fire,however the inspection was made from the level of the pad by the river-a thorough <br /> inspection of the vents above the scarpe was not made. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1 <br /> Page 2 of 8 <br />
