Public Notice McClane Canyon Mining LLC, 4241-ewis Hargett Circle, Suite 250, Lexington, KY 40503, has submitted a request for transfer of a coal mining permit and succession of operator to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety for the McClane Canyon Mine, mining permit C-1980-004. The request for transfer includes a minor revision of the identification of interests section of the permit. McClane Canyon Mining LLC is the current permittee and has agreed to transfer the permit to ARC McClane Canyon LLC. P.O. Box 11469, 265 Hambley Boulevard, Pikeville, KY 41502 The McClane Canyon Mine is located approximately 19 miles north of Loma, CO along State Highway 139. East Salt Creek is immediately west of the permit boundary. The permit area is encompassed within the following lands: Township 7 South, Range 102 West, 6t" P.M. Section 3: Portions of lot 14 Section 14: SW/4NW/4 Section 15: All Section 16: E/2 Section 21: E/2, E/2W/2, SW4NW/4, NW/4SW/4 Section 22: All Section 23: W/2NW/4, Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 Section 26: NW/4NW/4 Section 27: All Section 28: NW/4NE/4, NE/4NW/4 Section 34: N/2 Containing 3562 acres, more or less. The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Howard Canyon and Garvey Canyon Quadrangle maps. A copy of the succession of operator application is available for public inspection at the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder's office, 200 S Spruce St., Grand Junction, CO.
