Public Notice <br />McClane Canyon Mining LLC, 4241-ewis Hargett Circle, Suite 250, Lexington, KY 40503, <br />has submitted a request for transfer of a coal mining permit and succession of operator to <br />the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety for the McClane Canyon Mine, mining <br />permit C-1980-004. The request for transfer includes a minor revision of the identification <br />of interests section of the permit. McClane Canyon Mining LLC is the current permittee <br />and has agreed to transfer the permit to ARC McClane Canyon LLC. P.O. Box 11469, 265 <br />Hambley Boulevard, Pikeville, KY 41502 <br />The McClane Canyon Mine is located approximately 19 miles north of Loma, CO along <br />State Highway 139. East Salt Creek is immediately west of the permit boundary. The <br />permit area is encompassed within the following lands: <br />Township 7 South, Range 102 West, 6t" P.M. <br />Section 3: <br />Portions of lot 14 <br />Section 14: <br />SW/4NW/4 <br />Section 15: <br />All <br />Section 16: <br />E/2 <br />Section 21: <br />E/2, E/2W/2, SW4NW/4, NW/4SW/4 <br />Section 22: <br />All <br />Section 23: <br />W/2NW/4, Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 <br />Section 26: <br />NW/4NW/4 <br />Section 27: <br />All <br />Section 28: <br />NW/4NE/4, NE/4NW/4 <br />Section 34: <br />N/2 <br />Containing 3562 acres, more or less. <br />The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute <br />Howard Canyon and Garvey Canyon Quadrangle maps. <br />A copy of the succession of operator application is available for public inspection at the <br />Mesa County Clerk and Recorder's office, 200 S Spruce St., Grand Junction, CO. A <br />copy of the approved permit application document, as well as the succession of <br />operator application, are available at the Denver office of the Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety, Room 215, 1313 Sherman St., Denver, CO 80203, (303) 866-3567. <br />Written comments regarding this application may be submitted to and additional <br />information may be obtained from the Division of Reclamation Mining & Safety at the <br />above address. Written comments must be received by the Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining & Safety within 15 days after the last date of this publication in order to be <br />considered. <br />
