Forrest Luke
17 April 2020
All Rules referenced within this document are contained within the Regulations.
Rule: 2.05.3(6) Operational Plan
2020 February DRMS: DRMS finds the submitted revised pages address this rule adequately with
the exception of the following:
4. No overburden volumes nor swell factors were included in the Reclamation Plan
discussion on revised pages 3-15b and 3-15c. Please include this information in the
discussion. This is question 4
Trapper Response: Overburden swell factors used at Trapper can be found on page 3-49 of Trapper's
permit. A discussion of the redisturbed spoils in A pit has been added to Section 3.1.5, page 3-15b and is
enclosed.
2020 March DRMS: DRMS finds Trappers response adequate and understands that the swell
factor for the redisturbed spoil is 10% compared with original swell of 25%. DRMS has
requested TMI's Agapito report. Once DRMS has the opportunity to assess stability conclusions
DRMS will proceed with volumetric verification. Thus adequacy question 4 remains
outstanding.
6a. Please provide updated profiles for any crossections affected by PMT changes, and specifically
crossection E142600.
2020 April DRMS:
DRMS finds Trappers response of 1 April adequate for post mining topography adequate.
2020 April 17 DRMS:
The Division deems it appropriate for the proposed operation to request any maps and associated
cross section drawings for the N Pit temporary spoil pile. Per Rule 2.05.3(6), if appropriate for
the proposed operations, each plan should include the subsections of Rule 2.05.3(6), including
Rule 2.05.3 (6)(b). The Division understands that the spoil is a temporary stricture and is requesting this
information for the Divisions analysis of stability, and volumetrics analysis for compliance with the above
stated rule.
(b) As proposed, spoil during the initial box cut for the proposedNighthawk Pit (N Pit) will be temporarily
placed "west and slightly above the pit" as stated under the proposed Section 3.5.4. Per this section of the
Rule, [djescriptions, including appropriate maps, prepared according to the standards of 2.10, and cross
section drawings, of the proposed disposal site and design of the spoil disposal structures according to
4.09. As proposed, no maps or designs have been included for the temporary spoil pile associated with the
N Pi. t.
DRMS ADQ 3 TR124 17 April 2020
Prepared by: R. Reilley
