GEOTECHNICAL STABILITY EXHIBIT
This application is for reclamation only. Mining was completed over 10
years ago. The ground has been stabilized and existing slopes will not
be disturbed. Slopes that are greater than 3:1 are either not structural
or have been stabilized with vegetation and have been in place prior to
any mining and will not be disturbed through the reclamation process.
Union Pacific Railroad: The slope leading to the railroad is greater than
3:1; however, it has been stabilized with vegetation and has been in
place prior to any mining and will not be disturbed through the
reclamation process.
Snyder-Grand Valley Memorials Inc. Office Building: is approximately
889 ft from any slopes that are greater than 3:1 and won't be affected.
Legacy Land Company Office Building: is approximately 892 ft from
slopes that are greater than 3:1 and will not be affected.
Xcel Energy Utility Line: The overhead powerline is not installed on
sloped ground and therefore is not affected.
City of Grand Junction Road, Building, Headstones: The City of Grand
Junction owns these structures and has executed a structure
agreement, therefore geotechnical stability is not evaluated.
Clymer Ranch and Livestock Company Home, Concrete Pad, Livestock
Misc: From review of aerial photography and mining exhibits, the
slopes that are near or in the pit are existing. Although these slopes are
greater than 3:1, review of aerials reviews that the slopes have not
changed prior, during, or after mining activity. The slopes have been
stabilized with vegetation will not be disturbed through the reclamation
process.
