This modification is
being made to reflect the true delineation of disturbance that has taken place over the many years of this mining
permit. Currently the permitted disturbance area is 422 acres this revision will update that area to 570.7 acres. In
addition MCM is also requesting the permanent retention of three sediment ponds in the Williams Fork Strip Pit
area. The area surrounding these ponds was reclaimed in the 1980's and the removal of the ponds would cause
damage to the vegetation, therefore MCM would like to keep them as permanent structures and is worlcing with
the Colorado Division of Water Resources to receive approval to permit them as Livestock Water Tanks. These
applications have been included with this submittal. This revision also request that the main haul roads remain
as permanent features to allow access throughout the property post mining. The main haul road leading to the #5
portal area will remain as permanent along with a large turn around area at the south end to allow for a place for
Ag equipment staging and turnaround area during the care and maintenance of the cropland.
With this revision submittal, we are providing updated PAP text for parts of Rule 2.05 and Rule 4.01 to reflect
the updated reclamation plans.
This submittal includes revised PAP text and supporting materials, as identified by the Attached Summary of
Revisions and Additions. MCM does not foresee this revision changing the required bond, therefore no bond
estimate has been included. If you have any questions after reviewing this submittal, feel free to contact me via
email or phone.
Sincerely,
Miranda Kawcak
Environmental Manager
Moffat County Mining, LLC
