been removed for CEC Plan purposes. The Dugout Pond, perimeter ditches and Sediment Pond
2, however, will remain as permanent site features.
Maps
Certain maps are included in the Appendices to provide CDMG additional information on the
proposed reclamation and closure plan for the mine site, pursuant to CDMG Rule 2.05.3.
♦ Existing Surface Features Map (Appendix M-1)
♦ Permit Area Map (Appendix A-1)
♦ 1996 Vegetation Sampling Locations Map (Appendix L-5) - updated annually
♦ Final Reclamation Contour and Drainage Plan (Appendix Q-1)
Facilities Removal
The following CEC facilities will be removed as time and use dictate.
♦ Diversion/drainage structures (except the perimeter ditches, the Dugout Pond and
Sediment Pond 2)
♦ All roads within areas disturbed by mining and reclamation activities (trails will remain
for monitor well access and the main access road will remain for other users)
♦ Road right-of-way fencing (Section and property line fences to remain, as appropriate)
♦ Electrical distribution system not serving the office, shop and warehouse (to the extent
owned by CEC - see Appendix P-3)
♦ Explosive storage facilities
♦ Monitoring wells
All non -salvageable components of these facilities will be removed from the site or buried at
least four (4) feet below final grade (AOC) in the remaining B -Pit disposal area. The area will
then be topsanded and revegetated.
Drainage System
s
The CEC site drainage plan and facilities are presented in Appendix K, "Technical Revision
Drainage Control Plan Il", and are updated per the revised grading plan. Existing
diversion/drainage features that have been or will be constructed along the access and haul roads,
and around the north and east sides of the CEC property, serve to convey surface water runoff to
Sediment Pond 2. These drainage facilities, as well as site topographic features, are shown in
Appendix M-1. It is noteworthy that total long-term sediment accumulation in Sediment Pond 2
has not been a problem in eleven years of use (refer to previous discussion). The Dugout Pond
shall remain undisturbed at site closure in order to provide a continued wildlife habitat, in
accordance with CDMG direction. The permanent drainage facilities for final site reclamation
are shown in Appendix Q-1.
106 06/16
