The backfilled material will be blended in to match the local topography with a minimum of 6 inches of topsoil or native materials placed on top of the backfilled areas. The sources of this material will be soil or other native materials (e.g., rock) generated during shaft construction. The Monogahela Shaft is located in a previously disturbed area and will be reclaimed using materials excavated from the site to blend with the existing landscape. 3.3 Dismantle Buildings and Structures at Portal Area Reclamation will include the removal of certain buildings and other structures.The following structures will be removed at the Revenue Portal area: • Diesel storage and filling station • Propane storage A • Propane storage B • Propane storage C • Ventilation Fan • Underground warehouse and shop • Waste storage pad and secondary containment • Tailing thickener tank • Materials storage Connex • Crusher and retaining wall The facilities generally have either 6 or 12-inch concrete foundations. As shown on Map F-1 and Map F-la, various structures will remain as part of the post-mine land use. A list of buildings/structures that will remain on site is provided in Table L-2. Buildings also are shown on Map F-1 and Map F-la. 3.4 Portal Areas There are three portal areas that will be reclaimed:the underground storage room,the mill, and the Revenue tunnel portal.
