Box 187
Craig, CO 81626
24 August 2020
Re: Trapper Mining, Inc., Permit C1981010
DRMS Preliminary Adequacy Review of Permit Revision PR10
Dear Mr. Luke:
The Division has completed its preliminary review of Trapper's Permit Revision PRIO
received by the Division on 16 June 2020. The Division's review comprised the following
rules:
2.10
3.02.2
4.05.3
4.05.11
4.05.12(2) & (3)
4.05.13(1)
4.05.15
4.05.6
4.09.1(4)
4.16.3
4.21.4(7)
4.23
Adequacy issues are numbered in italics below.
Rule 2.10: Maps and Plans
DRMS August 2020
1. Please make call outs for elevations darker (black) and at closer, more periodic intervals.
2. Please place all diversion symbology above active mining symbology so it is visible on the
map.
Rule 3.02.2: Performance Bond Determination
DRMS August 2020
The PR10 application requests 155.0 acres of new disturbance and 51.7 acres of redisturbance of
Phase III bond released lands. This, according to DRMS amounts to 206.7 acres of new
disturbance. Trapper's Appendix A submitted with the PR10 application only accounts for 80.72
acres of reclamation located in J Pit. It appears that TMI is only bonding for a fraction of the area
of requested disturbance.
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining.state.co.us
Jared S.
