This requested PR comprises the five <br />year permit term, 2018-2022. The revision propos- <br />es disturbing an additional 1.4 acres situated within <br />the currently approved permit area during the PR9 <br />permit term. Mining will continue in L Pit and N <br />pit will be reopened. Reclamation will continue in <br />Kimber, Lancaster and Ashmore pits. <br />The Trapper Mine is a/an surface operation located <br />in Moffat County, approximately 6 miles Southwest <br />of Craig, Colorado. Coal interest is federal, state <br />and private, and the surface to be affected is state <br />and private land. The permit area encompasses <br />approximately 11,156.69 acres. <br />This proposed decision is based on a finding that <br />the proposed operation will comply with all require- <br />ments of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Recla- <br />mation Act, Section 34 33 101, et seq., C.R.S., and <br />the regulations promulgated thereunder. <br />Copies of the proposed decision, including any stip- <br />ulations, are on file for public inspection at the <br />Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety, Room 215, Centennial Building, 1313 <br />Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203 . Per- <br />sons with an interest that may be adversely affect- <br />ed by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board <br />on the proposed decision. Such request must be <br />made within thirty (30) days of the initial publication <br />of this notice, must be in writing, and must state <br />with reasonable specificity the reasons for the re- <br />quest and the objections to the proposed decision. <br />Published in the Craig Press on August 12 and 19, <br />2020. <br />
