The surface operation is operated by Colowyo Coal Company L.P. under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamatlon Act of 1979. The bond release application was submitted by Colowyo Coal Company L.P. on March 20, 2020. Colowyo Mine is applying for Phase I Bond Release on approximately 44.6 acres of backfilled and regarded surface. The affected area is located in Moffat, Rio Blanco County, approximately 28 miles South of Craig, Colorado. Copies of the proposed decision are available for re- view at the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Min- ing and Safety office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, and on the Divisio- n's website at http://mining.state.co.us/Reports/Mini ngData/Pages/Imaged DocumentData.aspx.
