With this applica- tion, SPL requested Phase II and III combined (39.4 acres), and Phase III (315 acres), for a total bond release of 354.4 acres. The surface opera- tion is operated by Seneca Property LLC under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. The bond release appli- cation was submitted by Seneca Property LLC on September 10, 2019. Seneca Coal Company has requested a combined phase II and III, and partial phase III bond releaset totalling 354.4 acres of which 40.36 comprise phase II and III, and 314.1 acres comprise phase III request in the innifial ap- plication. Adequacy review required a reduction in requested acreage. The revised request comprisd a request for Phase II and III combined (39.4 acres), and Phase III (315 acres), for a total bond release of 354.4 acres.The surface and mineral ownership of the permit area is held by the Federal government and private parties. The affected area is located in Routt County, approximately 7 miles Southwest of Hayden, Colorado.
