American Gypsum <br /> has unp8tented mining o|airng for the lands in the proposed disturbance area, as shown on <br /> D,evvingO3. <br /> 1~3 General Description <br /> The Mine is in the Southern Rocky Mountains phyeiognephio province (Fennemen. 1928) at <br /> elevation ranging from about 6600 feet to 7300 feet above mean sea level (amsl). The terrain iS <br /> characterized by narrow ridges and steep slopes dropping to n8rrovv. V-shaped drainages that <br /> drain tuthe Eagle Fliver, south of |-7O. <br /> 1~4 Access <br /> The site can be accessed by taking the Gypsum exit from 1-70 north approximately lz4-mile to Trail <br /> Gulch Road (Eagle County RnoU No. 8-51). Navigational aiQnage indicating "Gypsum Mine <br /> Private" is posted 8t the Mine entrance, intended todiscourage the general public from the Mine. <br /> 2 <br />
