Exhibit B — Site Description <br /> (Information taken from NRCs report provided in Exhibit 1) <br /> A.) Ellicott-Ellicott sandy-skeletal complex, Sampson Loam and Stoneham Loam make up the soil <br /> components in the area of the proposed pit. The potential vegetation in the area are about 75-90% <br /> grasses and grass-like plants, 5-10% Forbs and 5-15%woody plants. <br /> B.)There are power lines that run East to West along the southern border of the property a barbed <br /> wire fence that divides the section at the quarter section line, as well as an abandoned residence that <br /> is near the entrance just inside proposed area, which will not be used by the county in any way shape <br /> or form. All stockpiles will be to the North of that abandoned residence. <br /> C.) The Vega Creek, which only runs in the event of a large amount of rainfall, runs North to South in <br /> the proposed pit area. In normal dry weather, the creek is dry and does not a constant flow. <br /> D.) Using the website, https://www.natureserve.org/conservation-_t <br /> qojs listed-and-imperiled-species-county <br /> and-watershed/county-map we were able to establish there are no endangered species in the area around the <br /> proposed affected area of the Nelson Pit.There were no endangered species in the area of the proposed pit. <br /> We anticipate no significant impacts to local wildlife species or wildlife habitats will occur because of <br /> the existence of this pit. <br />
