(5) The operator commits to proper placement, grading, and surface manipulation including disc
work or contour furrowing of the planting materials to enhance soil stability, collect and retain
moisture, and promote vegetative development.
(6) A weed control program will be established via timely site inspections and treatment follow up
as determined by the Fremont County Weed Control Department, Canon City,CO.
(7) The site will have ample fire-fighting equipment access during the life of mine via large truck
turning areas and product loading areas for trucks. Access will remain in the central portions of
the reclaimed areas after completion of reclamation as single track trails for pick up and smaller
equipment access (tractors).
(8) Planting will be delayed on the main haul road from gate to final product stockpile location in
the southeast corner of the affect land as well as the adjacent product stockpile and truck
loading areas not already under final grass land status. This equates to approximately two acres
of road right-of-way(3500'x 25') and about five acres stockpile and truck turn around footprint.
The sediment control ponds left in place will be seeded with the similar site-wide prairie mix and
mulched as all other areas for grass establishment support.
(9) Other than a small area (<1/8ac) at the bottom of the sediment pond structure that may be
under water for short period of time after storm events, there are no known adverse conditions
that may restrict or limit vegetative development. Options for addressing the scope and action
necessary for this issue will likely be one the final considerations prior to total bond release
decision making.
