The revision was submitted by GCC Energy, LLC. All review and comment <br />periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br /> <br />This revision proposes to add private and federally owned parcels included in Federal Coal Lease <br />COC-78825 to the permit area.These parcels are located within portions of Township 35 North, <br />Range 11 West Section 18, Township 35 North, Range 12 West Section 13, Section 22, Section 23, <br />Section 26, and Section 27, N.M.P.M. The applicant is not proposing additional surface disturbance <br />outside of the area currently approved for disturbance. <br /> <br />The underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately 6 miles Southwest of <br />Hesperus, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br /> <br />Portions of Sections 5, 6, 7 and 8, Township 34 North, Range 11 West; portions of Sections 28, 29, <br />31 and 32, Township 35 North, Range 11 West; and portions of Sections 35 and 36, Township 35 <br />North, Range 12 West; New Mexico Principal Meridian. <br /> <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the following USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />map(s): Thompson Park, Hesperus, Mormon Reservoir, Kline. <br />
