Exhibit G — WATER INFORMATION
There is no change to the baseline water information presented from 1977. The water discussion at that
time addressed the needs, uses and surrounding conditions for the general area and will apply to the
expansion of the mining area. All surface drainages will remain in their current state and when
reclamation is completed the mined areas will be graded to retain the current drainage patterns on the
site.
No ground water will be exposed at this mine and all water used for dust control is obtained from the
brick factory nearby and hauled to the mine.
Site berms and isolation ditches will be placed up gradient from the disturbed area to prevent offsite
stormwater runoff from entering the active mining area. Swales and berms will be used to direct any on
site stormwater runoff to temporary detention ponds where it will be retained for no more than 72
hours before being released. This will provide the necessary time to clean the water to meet our
discharge permit standards.
There are no jurisdictional wetlands on the mining operation parts of the new area, therefore no 404
permit is needed.
Review of the Reclamation Plan maps shows that the final land configurations for the mine will have the
same drainage patterns. There are no drainage features that cross the mined area and as noted
isolations berms and ditches will be placed around the mined area to divert any surface runoff from
adjoining parcels around the hole created.
No water impoundments, stock ponds or permanent'stormwater ponds will be built as part of the
reclamation plan.
Summit Brick&Tile Company - Native/Pierre Mine 6/24/2020
12
