Along the north side marked as "Alley", a setback of 70 feet from the Permit Boundary will be
maintained. All areas will have a minimum of 25 feet. The setback area will be reclaimed if disturbed.
Mining Timetable
We estimate that by adding the new area, the life of the mine will be extended between 50 to 99 years.
The continuing uncertainty of economic conditions in the construction materials industry precludes an
accurate forecast of demand for materials during the life of the mine. We,therefore, can only estimate
the mining timetable based on an average year and may expect a specific year to vary widely from the
average. The usage has varied from 3,000 tons to 10,000 tons in a year. Using an average of 8,000 tons
per year, a 70% recovery rate, and an average thickness of 10 feet, the annual surface disturbance
would equal approximately 0.33 acres per year. There is an additional 20 mineable acres so there would
be approximately 57 years of reserves.
Summit Brick&Tile Company - Native/Pierre Mine 6/24/2020
7
