All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations <br />initiate from this date of filing. <br /> <br />Mining and reclamation plan for the I and J Pits. This includes 155.0 acres of new disturbance and <br />51.7 acres of redisturbance of Phase III bond released areas. A portion of the area was designated <br />as cropland, use however, has been grazing and wildlife habitat. Reclamation of these areas to <br />rangland is also being requested. The applicant is proposing additional surface disturbance outside <br />of the area currently approved for disturbance. <br /> <br />The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 6 miles Southwest of Craig, <br />Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br /> <br />Township 5 North, Range 90 West <br /> Section 5 All <br /> Portions of Sections 6, 8 and 9 <br /> Township 5 North, Range 91 West <br /> Portions of Sections 1, 4, and 5 <br /> Sections 2 and 3, ALL
