2.03.4 (9) — Lands Contiguous to the Permit Area <br /> OSMRE mining permit CO-0106 lies contiguous to the permit area and comprises much of <br /> the coal reserves currently being mined at the King II mine. The surface properties above <br /> these lands are owned by the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe. They are not located on "Indian Trust" <br /> or "Reservation" lands, but were purchased by the Tribe from the Dunn family. <br /> The lands within OSMRE Mining Permit CO-0106 are described as follows: <br /> BLM Coal Lease (COC-62920) assigned to GCCE November 1, 2002, described as follows: <br /> BLM Coal Lease COC-62920, belonging in whole, to the United States of America (U.S.), <br /> administered by the U.S. Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM): <br /> Ute Mountain Ute Tribe Surface Ownership: <br /> T 35 N, R 11 W, New Mexico Principal Meridian (NMPM) North of Ute Line, <br /> Section 19, lots 3 to 5 inclusive, east half of the southwest quarter, and <br /> southeast quarter. <br /> T35N, R 12 W, NMPM, North of Ute Line, Section 24, lots 1 to 3 inclusive, and <br /> southwest quarter of the southeast quarter. Section 25, lots 1, 2, west <br /> half of the northeast quarter and west half. Section 26, southeast quarter <br /> of the northeast quarter, east half of the southeast quarter, southwest <br /> quarter of the southeast quarter.
