Danny Kipp and Mark Quimby of Coors Energy
Company (CEC) were on site, but did not accompany Rob on the inspection. The weather was clear and warm.
The ground was dry.
The primary activity at the site during the early summer of 2020 will be spreading mulch (continuation of work in
spring of 2020). Mulch that has been spread on the reclaimed roads was seen right up to the gate, and the pile near
the Dugout Pond has all been spread. The other pile, south of the Long -Term Spoil Area, was still present,
although it appeared to be smaller than in recent months.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS — Rule 5.02.4(1):
The 2019 AHR/ARR was not seen in the office, and this needs to be remedied by CEC in the near future. It
should be stored with the reports from past years or placed in another obvious spot. Otherwise, the records were in
good shape as listed at the end of this report.
FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18:
Many birds were seen and heard at the ponds.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Small volumes of water were observed in the two ponds, but levels were well below spillways, and neither pond
was discharging during the inspection. There were no signs that they had discharged recently. As usual, they both
contained large amounts of riparian vegetation. No problems were observed with the two ponds.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 8
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4
Page 2 of 9
