Seeding recommendation: <br /> Non-Irrigated grass seed mix <br /> Seed Rate PLS/acre <br /> Crested Wheat Nordan 1 . 2 <br /> Russian Wild Rye Vinall 1 . 2 <br /> Bluebunch wheatgrass 1 . 8 <br /> Prairie June Grass 0 . 1 <br /> Idaho Fescue 0 . 5 <br /> Pubescent Wheatgrass- Luna 8 . 0 <br /> Total per pound 12 . 81 <br /> NOTE: 1/ Indicated rate if drilled. The mixtures will be doubled if broadcast. <br /> This seed mix was developed using the NRCS guidelines and <br /> includes the 3 native species commonly found in Grand County on <br /> the soil types present on the permit area . This mix when drilled <br /> will place approximately 41 . 2 seeds pls/per square foot on the <br /> seed bed. The seed will be drilled where possible and doubled if <br /> broadcast . The site is currently part of a terrace deposit <br /> located in a Mountain slope ecological site unit north of Granby, <br /> Colorado . It has no special or unique characteristics with <br /> mostly grass, on the flat area or brush/grass covering the north <br /> facing slope . <br /> The average annual production is approximately 1200 pounds <br /> per acre . The plant community is 40 percent grasses and 60 <br /> percent brush. The species of vegetation found on the mine site <br /> are grasses - Bluebunch wheatgrass, Prairiejune grass and Idaho <br /> fescue . Woody vegetation found on the site consists of Big <br /> sagebrush, Antelope bitter brush, Saskatoon serviceberry, and <br /> Common snowberry.
