(General Shale) is respectfully submitting a technical revision for
incorporating a mobile screening operation into the mine plan for the Tomahawk Mine located on
Fort Carson. The screening equipment will be typically track or skid mounted. The screen
equipment will be mobile and not permanent at the mine site. No pads or foundations will be
constructed.
General Shale has a large stockpile of clay that contains large sandstone boulders. Due to high
transportation cost of this material to the brick plant located in Denver, General Shale would like
to screen out the large boulders to minimize the amount of large unnecessary rock for brick
production from the mine.
General Shale has a limited access window to utilize the Tomahawk Mine site; June through
August each year. General Shale respectfully requests a quick turnaround to allow us to conduct
this screening operation in July 2020.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (303) 783-3058 or email at
jason.mcgraw@generalshale.com.
Sincerely,
General Shale Brick, Inc.
e!twJ
Jason E.
