• North on CR 23, then around the LG Everist site using LG Everist's existing roads north to CR
126.
• Southeast on County Road 23 to CR 120.
Also as shown on Sheet C-1, the area within 300' each side of Lone Tree Creek will not be mined. This
area shall remain as is and be protected with no equipment or vehicular entry as there are environmental
sensitivities within that boundary. The only exception will be a potential crossing for use in accessing the
east side of the property. This location is shown for reference in Sheet C-1; the final location will be
determined during mining operations and could be changed if deemed beneficial to the mining process. The
creek will be bridged with an elliptical culvert so as not to impede passage by aquatic species. In the
alternative, Kiewit may access the east side of the property through the northern boundary; if used, this
access will be negotiated with the neighboring property owner.
The sorting, crushing, stockpiling, loading and all processing equipment will be initially set up on cell 3
until cell 3 is to be mined. At that time the sorting, crushing, stockpiling, loading and all processing
equipment will be moved to cell 13. When all other cells to be mined are exhausted the sorting, crushing,
stockpiling, loading and all processing equipment will be move one final time to cell 6. Upon exhaustion
of cell 13 that cell will be reclaimed as outlined in Exhibit E and final decommissioning of the site will
begin.
See Sheet C-2 for the mining plan map with the anticipated topography during mining. Contours for Cells
1 through 3 were derived based on the depth of the resource as determined in the Terracon report. Contours
for Cells 4 through 13 were derived assuming the cells would be mined to depth of 12' BSG; the actual
depth of mining will vary depending on the depth of the resource encountered in these cells. All headwalls
are sloped 1 H:1 V as proposed in this mining plan.
Kiewit
DRMS 112 Permit Application
Page D-2
