The excess overburden and plant-generated fines, have <br /> partially backfilled Phase lA and 2A. Phase 1 has been reclaimed <br /> and is ready for final development by the landowners . Also, rec- <br /> lamation is running concurrent with mining to reduce the amount of <br /> disturbance at anyone-time and reclamation is following Option A. <br /> Please refer to the MINING TIMETABLES for the estimated acreage <br /> of each area associated with the mining part of this operation. <br /> Mining equipment may include but is not limited to, front-end <br /> loaders, scrapers, excavators, a drag line, dozers, off-road haul <br /> trucks, dump trucks and a water truck. Processing equipment may <br /> include but is not limited to conveyors, crushers and screen <br /> plants . A scale and scale house may be built at the mine during <br /> its life . <br /> As much as possible, the surface drainage will be maintained <br /> in the same direction as it now exists . The proposed sloping plan <br /> for the excavated area should eliminate any concerns of erosion <br /> occurring from the site . <br /> Most of the water used on site will be for dust control used <br /> on haul roads or with sand and gravel processing. Please refer to <br /> EXHIBIT G -WATER for the discussion of how water will be used at the <br /> site, the estimated yearly needs and the source of said water. <br /> The 2 large irrigation ditches that cross the site and the <br /> Cannon return flow ditch will not be impacted by the mining <br /> operation. All interior pit slopes will be maintained with a <br /> pit-ward attitude so that historic drainage patterns can be <br /> maintained. This same slope management plan will prevent any <br /> offsite slides or other disruptions . Isolation berms or ditches <br /> will be constructed around the mine as needed to prevent stormwater <br /> from contacting the disturbed areas . All stormwater contacting the <br /> disturbed area will be retained on site and allowed to evaporate or <br /> soak into the underlying gravel . <br /> No U. S . Army Corps of Engineers, 404 permit is necessary, as <br /> mining will not impact waters of the U.S .
