RE: South Fork#1 Pit-Permit No. M-2017-004 Request for Release of Reclamation
Responsibility
Dear Ms. Mitchell:
Pursuant to Construction Materials Rule 4.17.1, Oldcastle SW Group, Inc. dba Four Corners
Materials, as operator and permittee, hereby requests release of reclamation responsibility
for the above referenced reclamation permit.
This 111 reclamation permit was granted for a CDOT project in 2017. Due to a delay in
acquiring an appropriate land use permit from Rio Grande County, the material for this
project was supplied from a nearby permitted pit.
There has been no mining activity or surface disturbance at the South Fork#1 Pit.
Thus, I hereby state that no reclamation of the site is necessary.
Two stockpiles of material are present at the site. This material was excess from the
aforementioned CDOT project and imported to the site under a surface rental agreement
with the Colorado State Board of Land Commissioners. (A copy of this lease/agreement will
be emailed to you separately for reference).
