6.3.3 EXHIBIT C-Mining Plan
McCormick Excavation And Paving LLC(Applicant) McCormick Pit 1
A. Mining for aggregates will commence this spring of 2020.There should be enough material to
last to the year 2030.
B. The estimated topsoil depth is approximately 4"-6".We will strip topsoil and stockpile it as we
begin mining. As the operations move,we will start the reclamation process. We will place
overburden where we have already mined and place topsoil.
C. Overburden is 1'to 4'in depth. There are no wasted rocks on project.
D. Deposits range from 8'to 13' in depth.
E. There is an entrance not being used that we will put a cattle guard in so trucks don't have to
watch for livestock. No new entrances or no office or shop/maintenance buildings there. There
might be a portable mobile concrete or asphalt plant setup if work is permitted in area.
F. Disturbance dimensions to the land surface will be contained in mining permit area and those
dimensions are 600 feet by 400 feet(240,000 SF).as shown in maps. Inside this area will be
area mined and stockpile for top soil, overburden and entrance, haul road will be 25 ft wide x
125 ft long.Top soil will be placed on the outskirts of pit just inside the boundary to create a
protective berm and divert water around the pit.The over burden will be placed on the north
side of the pit.
G. There will be no new roads added, nor will there need to be any roads improved. We will add a
Cattle guard in place of gate. The entrance is there hasn't been used. The road will be 25 ft wide
By 120 ft long. This road will receive additional gravel to help with additional traffic. It will be left
In operational when pit is closed, due to it was already existing. This will be a safer entrance for
the land owner to use. There will be no drainage and runoff conveyance structures added.
H. Proposed site is a dry site. No dewatering is needed and no water is required for mining. The
only water that would be needed is for dust control. With the small amount of operations at this
site, there shouldn't be any dust control needed. But if there would be 4,000 gallons of water
should be sufficient for dust control for the day. That water would be gotten from the nearest
town.
I. No ground water will be encountered. Water levels in the area are a minimum 300' in depth.
There should be no surface water intercepted as mining area is on top of the hill.We will put a
berm around the permitted area to divert any surface water created by rain. No chemicals will
be used at this location.
