Crushing and screening will be staged as close
as possible to the mining face as practical.
Once crushed and screened, final product will be hauled to a stockpile area located at the
east side of the affected land area where it will be loaded into over-the-highway trucks to be
transported to the cement plant located east of Florence, Colorado.
B. Water Diversion or impoundment
No plans for water diversion and impoundment of water on the Coaldale affected lands are
scheduled. Due to limited amount of water in the area, a low water table, high permeability,
and an absence of a natural water sources (other than Hayden Creek, Which crosses the
main haulroad, removed from the mining area), the Coaldale operation will have no
appreciable effect on neighboring surface or subsurface water resources.
C. Size of areas to be worked in the time
In reference to the mine plan, per above, several areas must be worked concurrently in order
to meet product specifications, exploration activities. Reference to the Mine Plan and Mining
Reclamation Timetable (See next table) will show the progression of reclamation activities
correlated with completion of mining and initiation of the Reclamation Plan.
