*ire)r
A much more appropriate bond amount would be topsoiling and vegetation of the
NM Q ter current Cell areas, as calculated by the Division, knowing that this area is now ready
LOVELAND for final reclamation steps.
R EADY•MIX Area South of Cell/Pit 6 We believe Task 015, in the Divisions revised bond estimate is
incorrect. Our reasoning is outlined below.
CONCRETE1. This small pit is methodically filling in with available overburden from the
north side of Cell 21. As of 3/10/2020 it had been reduced to approximately
0.25 acres in size. Attached are photos show the backfilling of this pit and the
PO BOX 299 associated grading work going on around it.
LOVELAND, CO 80539 A much more appropriate bond amount would be backfilling the current area of 0.25
OFFICE 970.667.2680 acres. Our revised calculations for Task 015 is$14,498.
FAX 970.667.0092
Attached is LRM's revised estimate of an appropriate bond amount; Attachment 2
outlines all changes made using the Divisions cost estimates for each Task, adjusted
according to the reasons provided above. You will see that our calculated bond
amount of$587,000 is not much more than our current financial warranty of
$546,800.
At this time LRM would also like to clarify some misinformation in paragraph 5 of the
inspection report. The report references lined cells 1 and 2. Cells/Pits 1 and 2 are not
lined and are shown to be pre 1981 ponds not requiring augmentation on Exhibit A of
00CW142. It can be confusing, but 00CW142 refers to "lined ponds 1 and 2 as
described in Paragraph 16.2". Lined Ponds 1 and 2 are actually Cells/Pits 16 and 17 as
shown on Exhibit A, and have been released from the current mining boundary.
We trust there may be additional questions or further clarification on your part to
work towards finalizing a suitable bond amount for the Larimer Pits and we look
forward to continuing to work with you on this matter.
Thank you,
Stephanie Fancher-English
Loveland Ready Mix Concrete
Attachments: Attachment 1—Photos
Figure 1
Attachment 2 -Task Cost Revision Documentation
00CW142 Decree
Well Permit 69035-F
February 11, 2020 Letter
Wage
